Student Sign-In
Students need their own credentials to join a Session. Those come from Braintrust through your school’s point of contact - you don’t create them yourself. This article covers where to find them and how students sign in.
BT Passports
Student usernames and passwords are provided as BT Passports, available on the Group Details page. When students sign in, have them enter the username and password exactly as shown - they’re case-sensitive, and a stray space will stop the sign-in from working.
Districts That Use Clever
Some districts use Clever. In those, students sign in through the Clever portal as required by district policy - a manual sign-in card may not work or may not be allowed. If your students are in a Clever district, point them to the Clever portal.
If a Credential Is Missing
If you don’t have credentials for a student, don’t improvise with an unofficial roster or a workaround - that creates tracking problems. New students and group changes can take up to a couple of business days to show up. If a credential still isn’t there when you need it, reach out to your Braintrust team and they’ll verify, update, or resend it.
