The Next Session Card
The Next Session card sits at the top of your Dashboard and highlights the Session coming up next, so you don’t have to scan your schedule to find it. It carries the Session’s details, its agenda, and the button to begin.
What the Card Shows
- When and what. The relative date and start time, followed by the curriculum program - for example, “Today at 3:05 pm: Reading.”
- A status chip. Shows a countdown until the Session, or its state: In Progress, Closed, or Not Started if the start time has passed without it beginning.
- Session Agenda. Each student (first name and last initial) paired with what they’re assigned - the lesson (with links to open its resources in the Library) or an assessment.
Beginning the Session
The button on the card reads Begin Session (or Rejoin Session if it’s already in progress). It’s inactive until 5 minutes before the start time - hover and you’ll see “You will be able to join 5 minutes before the session starts.” See Starting a Session.
When you have nothing coming up, the card reads No Upcoming Sessions Scheduled.
