What a Post-Assessment Does
A post-assessment closes out a domain by measuring how much a group has grown since the pre-assessment. Once your group finishes one, here’s what it feeds into and where to look next.
Where the Results Show Up
Post-assessment scores show in Student Performance, where you can see how the group did across assessments and compare it to the pre-assessment. The group’s week is covered in the Weekly Progress Report.
What It Does and Doesn’t Change
Post-assessment performance feeds group-level growth signals - the picture of how the group did overall. It does not change any individual student’s skill mastery. Skill mastery updates from activity work during lessons, not from assessment scores.
Moving to the Next Domain
For a Math group, the post-assessment is what moves the group forward. Once a Domain’s post-assessment comes back for enough of the group, the platform moves the group on to its next Domain automatically. If only a few Sessions are left in the engagement, the group finishes in the Domain it’s in rather than starting a new one.
Whether to reteach specific lessons before moving on is still guided by your Braintrust team - if you’re unsure what to do after a post-assessment, reach out to them for direction.
